Refund Policy
Version 1.0, last changed 1 October 2026.
Top-ups are final. Once a top-up is credited to your balance, we do not refund it, in whole or in part, in crypto or in any other form. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
What protects you instead
- You pay only for tasks that succeed. A task that fails or expires costs nothing: the price held for it goes back to your balance in the same step that ends the task. That is as soon as it fails, or within a few seconds of its deadline when it runs out of time. Only if the worker solving it stops mid-attempt does a task end later, once that attempt's time limit and a further 30 seconds have passed. A request we refuse holds nothing and costs nothing.
- A top-up can be as small as $10, so you can try the service before adding more.
- You can cap how much each API key spends in a day, and ask for an email when your balance falls below an amount you choose.
When a payment goes wrong
- You sent less, or more, than the invoice: we credit what arrived, at our payment processor NOWPayments' quote, and the receipt says so. You can send another top-up for the rest.
- Your payment arrived after the invoice expired: we credit it when NOWPayments reports it.
- You sent the wrong coin, or used the wrong network: write to billing@zerocaptcha.io with the transaction hash. We will look into it with NOWPayments, but such payments may be lost, and we cannot promise to recover them.
- We charged you for a task that did not succeed, through a fault of ours: write to us with the task ID. We correct your balance with a credit, which two of our staff approve.
Suspended and closed accounts
A suspended account keeps its balance, and can use it again if the suspension is lifted. A balance left on an account that is closed, by you or by us, is not paid out.
